What is the CXBL? The CXBL is the Only pro paintball league in Canada. The Acronym stands for Canadian Xball League. There are 8 pro Xball team in the Ontario Division with many more in the Quebec. Western & Eastern Divisions. All teams play each other in head to head matches over the course of the summer. How is this different than Speedball? Speedball games are usually short in duration, usually averaging 3 - 5 minutes. Xball games by comparison last approx 1 hour with 2 - 25 minute halves. Xball play is based loosely on Hockey rules and incorporates penalties into the game. 2 minute minor, 5 minute minor, 5 minute major, 10 minute major & game suspensions can cause a team to play shorthanded giving the oposing team a clear advantage.
